acacia Characteristics
Acacia, scientifc name:acacia confusa, mainly distributed in Southeast Asia and Pacific islands.
The color variety of acacia wood makes it perfect for rustic scheme. The heartwood is golden brown to darker reddish brown. The sapwood is pale-yellow to light gray, narrow and clearly demarcated from heartwood. Acacia has a slightly wavy, interlocked grain pattern with a medium texture that sometimes verges on being coarse, and a good natural golden luster.
Acacia flooring is a hard and durable choice with unique beauty at a reasonable price. The specific gravity at 12% MC is 0.84 g/cm3. The Janka hardness is almost twice the white oak, scoring 10230N. It is one of the highest output engineered flooring species for its strength property, beauty and rich resource.
